Most scientists know of Dr Watson. He, along with Francis Crick, pretty much "discovered" DNA and the spiral visual as we know it today. CNN reported today:
Nobel laureate biologist James Watson was suspended Friday from his longtime post at a research laboratory and canceled his planned British book tour after controversial comments that black people are not as intelligent as white people.
Watson, 79, an American who won the 1962 Nobel prize for his role in discovering the double-helix structure of DNA, apologized Thursday for his remarks -- but not before London's Science Museum canceled his talk there, planned for Friday evening.
"CMSP has licensed DNA molecule structures for years." says Henry Schleichkorn,RBP. CMSP President and author of this blog. " We have over 100 images illustrating DNA, some rights managed and some royalty free."
Another medical picture in the news this week is MRSA, Methicillin resistant Staphylococcus Aureus. MRSA infections were frequent among persons in hospitals and healthcare facilities including nursing homes and dialysis centers. Now the news is stating the SUPER BUG could be more deadly then AIDS, killing 90,000 people this year! MRSA is a type of bacteria that is resistant to certain antibiotics including methicillin and other more common antibiotics such as Oxacillin, Penicillin and Amoxicillin.
I tried to add a picture of MRSA but couldn't. I will try to add one here in my next post.
