Remember last week CMSP was asked for an image showing chemiluminescence with a blue glow? Here is the image we created in our scientific-photo studio. Adding the copper sulfate made the glowing effect. The glow didn't last long so we had to shoot fast. It was like being back in high school chemistry class!
Other requests we received this week included an illustration showing cardiomyopathy, scan of hemarthrosis and a bone marrow transplant patient. Every request is different. That is what makes this business so interesting.
CMSP contributor Mike from Rochester called today. He has 25 new photomicrographs to add to our files. "Send them on a CD" we told him. I'll put one of his micrographs on this blog next week.
What kind of blog would this be if I didn't mention the weather once in a while. It is freakin cold today!
